Self-Importance

« Back to Glossary Index

Self-importance is a common trait of individuals with grandiose narcissism. It shows up in narcissists’ unrealistic and excessive sense of their own significance, superiority, and entitlement, often accompanied by a need for constant admiration and a lack of empathy for others. To prove their superiority, they often resort to exaggerating talents and accomplishments.
