Psychopathology

Psychopathology is a term for mental illness and for the study of mental and social disorders, describing symptoms, behaviors, causes, development, and treatments. It studies mental/behavioral dysfunction. Psychopathology requires further research into differentiated approaches to integrate clinical knowledge and patients’ self-experience, as well as more appropriate, valid targets for neurobiological and genetic exploration.
