Olfactory Bulb
« Back to Glossary IndexThe olfactory bulb — located at the base of the forebrain and above the nasal cavity, part of the olfactory system — processes the sense of smell. The olfactory bulb receives signals from olfactory receptors in the nasal cavity and transmits that information to other parts of the brain for further interpretation.
