Neuromodulation Therapy:

« Back to Glossary Index

Neuromodulation therapy is a series of techniques that alter the way nerves carry information to and from the brain. It can involve delivering electrical stimulation or chemical agents to specific neurological sites in the body. Neuromodulation can help treat neurological and neuropsychiatric disorders, such as headaches, tremors, spinal cord damage, and urinary incontinence. It can also help decrease pain and increase mobility.
