Naturalistic Developmental Behavioral Intervention (NDBI):

Naturalistic developmental behavioral intervention (NDBI) are validated, evidence-based interventions for treating language-related symptoms in autism and developmental language disorder (DLD). Therapists use these programs (like Early Start Denver Model/ESDM) to teach communication, engagement, and social skills, behavioral challenges, life skills, and cognitive skills. NDBIs add developmental child-directed learning methods to traditional applied behavioral analysis (ABA). Therapy takes place in natural settings (home or classroom).
