Electromagnetic Receptors

Electromagnetic receptors are sensory receptors that can detect the earth’s magnetic field. Migratory birds and sea turtles use electromagnetic receptors to orient themselves and navigate. Other stimuli include electromagnetic radiation from visible light. For humans, the only electromagnetic energy that is perceived by our eyes is visible light.
