Efferent (Motor) Nerves

Efferent (motor) nerves carries electrical impulses away from the central nervous system (CNS) to muscles (to contract), glands (to secrete substances), or other organs, initiating a motor response. In contrast, afferent nerves send sensory information to the CNS.
