Early Start Denver Model (ESDM)
« Back to Glossary IndexEarly start Denver model (ESDM) is an evidence-based, naturalistic developmental behavioral intervention (NDBI), developed by Sally Rogers and Geraldine Dawson for children with autism (ages 12-60 months). It’s a manualized intervention, noted as effective by the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality. Results are significantly improved cognitive, language, adaptive behavior, social outcomes, with regular brain responses to social stimuli.
