Asexual:

« Back to Glossary Index

Asexuality is a sexual identity and sexual orientation describing people with little to no sexual attraction to others, regardless of gender identity. An asexual spectrum can include sapiosexual, gray asexual, or pansexual. Asexual people, or “aces,” may identify on a spectrum with emotional/spiritual/romantic attraction to others on one end and being aromantic (no  romantic attraction) or demisexual (experience sexual attraction after forming a strong emotional bond) on the other. Asexuality is different from celibacy (choosing no sexual activity, without reference to sexual attraction).
