Depression

Depression is persistent, deep sadness, or emptiness, often resulting in feeling hopeless, worthless, and restless. Depressive symptoms include: feeling sad most of the time or nearly every day, lack of energy, feeling worthless or hopeless, difficulty concentrating or focusing, sleeping too much or not enough, loss of appetite or overeating. Depression can lead to not feeling pleasure in activities enjoyed when healthy (anhedonia) and to contemplate or attempt suicide.
