Agentic Narcissism

Agentic narcissism, a subtype of grandiose narcissism, involves an inflated sense of power, success, and admiration. It’s often characterized by a belief in one’s own brilliance and a need for external validation, while lacking empathy and potentially derogating (belittling, disparaging, or demeaning) those who don’t admire them. While some research suggests that agentic narcissism may lead to fewer interpersonal problems compared to other forms of narcissism, it can still have a terrible effect on relationships due to no empathy and focus on personal gain. Conceit, seeing themselves as highly compassionate, generous, or morally exemplary.
